My “day job” is doing communications for a research group at the University of Groningen, and that entails getting to tell the general public about the (in my full unbiased opinion) very cool and interesting research being done by the group’s members.
The group has a bunch of PhD candidates and a handful of postdocs, and over the summer, a few of the postdocs who are also friends of mine by now - Anne, Jean and Lisa - wanted to have an extremely intellectual and serious, professional photo shoot.
Just kidding, they wanted to be dumb together and I said “yes, please”.
